Al Qaeda has hurled life threats at all officials working on important positions, including Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir, and precautionary measures have been taken for their security, Foreign Office spokeswoman Tehmina Janjua said in a press briefing on Saturday.
She said the security establishment of the country had assured security to all its officials. She said a “strategic convergence” was emerging between Islamabad and Washington that would lead to a win-win situation for both friendly countries. The FO spokeswoman told reporters that Islamabad attached great importance to its relations with Washington, and US envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan Marc Grossman in a recent statement had also expressed similar sentiments regarding the relations with Pakistan.
She said there was no delay in foreign minister-level talks between Pakistan and India and the talks might be held at the end of this month in New Delhi per schedule. Regarding the delay in the finalisation of the dates for the talks, Tehmina said there was no delay but dates were being finalised keeping in view the engagements of Pakistani and Indian foreign ministers.
She said the foreign minister-level meeting would be preceded by a meeting of the two foreign secretaries in New Delhi. To a question about the suspension of the US aid to Pakistan, the FO spokeswoman said Washington had reconfirmed that it would continue its assistance in the civilian head while for the military assistance and other issues, the diplomatic engagements and discussions were going on between the two countries. About Afghan peace process, Tehmina reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance of supporting and facilitating an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned reconciliation process in the war-ravaged neighbour of Pakistan. She said several bilateral and trilateral processes were underway to ensure revival of peace in Afghanistan.
This is the main reason that terrorists are not convicted in our country. Judiciary is only after politicians and lesser powerful persons. Very unfortunate for our country and its fragile system of cowardice.

I agree with you but then whole funding will stop if our own trouble shooters do not toe their lines. It is now for the government to hunt down these elements simply to save our country from more pollution.
Well the bitter truth is that Army is playing double games! I just can't believe Osama was hiding beneath the nose of PMA where a few days earlier from May 2nd, Kayani addressed a passing out parade in which he said we have broken the back bone of terrorists. I bet if he didn't know that OBL was hiding only 500 meters from the place OBL would have been listening to this address live and would have been ROFLing!!
I think neither Army Chief nor ISI Chief knew about the hideout of OBL. There probably must be some other in important ranks including retired top brass of Zia era who were responsible to camouflage OBL. One wonder why Police personnel from Special Branch posted in that area are not grilled on this issue. Anyhow this raid by Seals have created lot of embarrassment both for the present political and military set up. USA will act again if other wanted people are not taken care of and this time perhaps in other fashion. The main problem in our country is that we have many followers of these elements in all important positions including media.

Lets say some American marine pointed a rifle at Kayani and asked him to stay low while we play kill OBL, I think Kayani should have reacted and stopped the raid. It would have increased the honor of his, as soldiers dead are more praised than living. Well Army is also running its propaganda by putting this in the mind of Pakistanis that their patriotism is incomplete without their admiration to Armed Forces! Cheaters!

It is strange that no one is investigating about the stay of OBL and his supporters. The main thrust is on why this information was leaked to the US rather than looking for homegrown perpetrators……..
How is this possible that in a place like Abbotabad, a house whose walls are unusually high and are fenced goes unnoticed? Army is involved in all this episode, atleast the top lot surely is!! So far the proves available are more conclusive towards involvement of army than not!

Apart from these disks they also took away our "Ghayrait". I think they already know more than you, me or anyone else. We on the other hand are pulling each others legs. We are screwed, Qaeda has established ranks in armed forces of Pakistan and PNS Mehran is just more than evident proof for this! Army is playing it's dirty games and whenever any other incident like that of May 2nd will happen, Army will be looking for some place to hide its face! All we need to tame these khakis are 3 – 4 publicly hanged generals!
