The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) on Sunday claimed to have saved a woman from committing suicide along with four children, arrested four culprits carrying unlicensed arms, caught six wine venders and helped 645 commuters in distress across the province.
The PHP team received information about a woman who was trying to jump into the canal at Ganjianwali Bridge along with her four children because of a domestic clash. The PHP team reached the site immediately and pacified the woman namely, Shagufta w/o Sajad r/o Sambryal, Sialkot.
The PHP arrested Safdar Ali of Faisalabad, Saleem of Tobateksingh, Faheem of Sheikhupura and Abdul Razzaq of Khanewal on possessing illegal arms and ammunition and caught Ifthikhar of Pakpatan, Shahid Altaf and Sabir of Gujranwala, Usman and Arif of DG khan and Julian William of Jehlam while
vending wine.
