Mujahid Squad on its toes against crime

The Mujahid Squad Police (MSP), while responding to 15 calls on Sunday, claimed to have arrested 1,100 people including drug-peddlers, gamblers, robbers and other criminals during the last three months.
The MSP also seized illegal weapons, drugs, gambled money and stolen motorcycles from the arrested accused.
MSP Superintendent Ather Waheed directed all patrolling officers to take strict action against the criminals to reduce crime. He asked them to respond immediately to 15 emergency calls so that the criminals may not flee.
The MSP registered 202 cases of possessing illegal weapons and seized 168 pistols, 33 pump actions and hundreds of bullets. In the crackdown against drug dealers, the MSP officials seized 37 kg of charas, 7 kg of heroin and
hundreds of liquor bottles and registered 477 cases
against the arrested.
The squad also recovered four motorcycles besides arresting several men involved in different crimes including one-wheeling, gambling and other minor offenses and registered 133 cases against those caught.
The deputy inspector general (operations) praised the MSP’s performance and announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for Mujahid Squad officials.
