Lahore Police late on Saturday night arrested about 100 motorcyclists for performing stunts on different city roads.
According to details, dozens of motorcyclists gather at Main Boulevard Gulberg, Canal Road, Jail Road, Ring Road and Ferozpur Road every Saturday night and perform stunts and wheelies.
On Saturday night policemen from Ghalib Market police and Gulberg police launched massive crackdown against motorcyclists and arrested around hundred and impounded their vehicles after registering cases against them. Relatives of young motorcyclists gathered outside Ghalib Market police and held a protest against the police. Relatives of the arrested motorcyclists raised slogans against police and claimed policemen arrested bike riders in order to mint money from their parents. They also claimed that police released about 60 motorcyclist after taking money from them or their parents.
