The capital police on Friday conducted the flag march in the city to send a message to criminals and terrorists that law enforcers were vigilant and in a state of highest preparedness to deal with rogue elements and any terrorist activity.A convoy of 40 vehicles led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Secretariat Shakir Ahmed Shahid took part in the flag march.
This exercise was conducted on special instructions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tahir Alam Khan.
Inspector Khalid Mehmud Awan from Rescue 15, Station House Officer (SHO) Secretariat police station Asjad Altaf, patrolling officers from Aabpara, Kohsar, Margallah, Industrial Area, Falcon and Eagle squads as well as police commandos participated in the flag march. The flag march began from Radio Pakistan Chowk and culminated at Dhokri Chowk after getting past Parliament House, Margallah Road, Atta Turk Avenue, Ayub Chowk, Super Market, 9th Avenue, I-8, Faisal Avenue and Kashmir Highway.
