Dr. Pechuho vists PIA Head Office, briefed about flight academy

Chairperson of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Defence and MNA, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho visited PIA Head Office where a briefing was given on the airline’s operations including financial matters of PIA. She assured PIA management of her support.
PIA Managing Director Nadeem Khan Yousufzai informed Ms. Pechuho about Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Flight Academy due to be formally launched on July 30 2011 at Benazirabad. The Academy is a part of the process undertaken by the Government for meeting the flying needs for pilots in the airline industry for the National Flag Carrier and other airlines.
The Academy will use modern training aids such as simulators, computer based training facilities, models and actual aircraft instruments for training. The training would be conducted by Pakistan CAA certified flight Instructors. PIA Directors and senior officials of the airline were also present during the meeting.
