Three crushed to death in Lahore

Speeding vehicles crushed to death three people, including two girls, in separate incidents on Thursday. In the North Cantonment area, a tractor trolley knocked down two girls, Gulnaz (13) and Noor (11), while they were crossing the Ring Road along with their grand mother. Police say the vehicle hit the victims from behind.
As a result, Gulnaz was killed on the spot while Noor died of her serious wounds at the hospital. The victims were the residents of Ibrahim Colony. The driver managed to flee the scene but police traced and arrested him after some hectic efforts. In another mishap, a speeding car killed a 28-year-old man in the Raiwind City Police Station’s precincts.
2 shot dead: The dead body of a serving official of Pakistan Rangers, who was shot dead by some unidentified persons, was recovered from Azadi Chowk in the Tibbi City police limits on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Jamshaid, resident of Okara and was serving in Pakistan Rangers in Islamabad.
In another incident, a 32-year-old man was shot dead over unknown reason by unidentified people in Yuhana Abad, Nishtor Colony police area on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Zafar Maseh alias Kali, a resident of same locality. A police official said that the victim was on his way home on a rickshaw when unidentified persons shot him to death.
It is being suspected that the victim was killed by robbers on offering resistance.
