US Defence Secretary, Leon Panetta while visiting Afghanistan has desired that Pakistan should target the new Al-Qaeda chief Zawahiri as he was living in the tribal areas of Pakistan. How intelligent of the Americans that they have asked Pakistan to carry out search operations and eliminate him in the tribal areas, knowing very well that they (Americans) have failed in Afghanistan and the tribal areas of Pakistan despite hundreds of drone strikes.
The Americans also know that they would deal easily in case any of the top leaders of Al-Qaeda are hiding in any other place in Pakistan as they can carry out Abbottabad-like operation once again if required. They are confident that the government of Pakistan and the services chiefs will face another black out for minimum three days before they start taking (read saying) any action on the likely account.
Mr Panetta should stop thinking on these lines and do not try to embarrass our high and mighty.
