A three-day polio eradication campaign would be launched in the Mirpurkhas division on July 18. Around 800,000 children below five years would be administered anti-polio drops during the campaign in Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Tharparkar districts of the Mirpurkhas division.
To ensure success of the campaign, Mirpurkhas Commissioner Ghulam Hussain Memon held a meeting on Thursday to review all the arrangements hitherto made for this campaign. The meeting was attended by Mirpurkhas Health Director Dr Shafqat Hussain Daheri, assistant commissioners, secretaries of union councils, area in-charges and medical officers.
The commissioner directed Deputy Health Director Dr Ashfaq to provide the complete list of anti-polio teams to the assistant commissioners and the secretaries of the union councils. He asked the officers to ensure providing anti-polio drops to all children below five years during the campaign.
