Mirpurkhas Division Commissioner Ghulam Hussain Memon on Wednesday directed the division’s deputy commissioners to take prompt measures for resolving the grievances of the masses on priority basis without any discrimination. “The government officers are bound to hear the grievances of the people and provide them justice on merit without any discrimination,” he ordered while presiding over a high-level meeting of deputy commissioners of Sanghar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas and Tharparkar. On the occasion, all deputy commissioners including Mohammad Bachal Rahepota of Mirpurkhas, Ahmed Bux Khokhar of Sanghar, Makhdoom Shakeeluzzaman of Tharparkar and Nazar Mohammad Kalhoro of Umerkot presented the problems being faced by the people of their respective districts. The administrative affairs of the above four districts were reviewed in detail at the meeting as the commissioner directed that the deputy commissioners should work with honesty and provide relief to the masses through drastic measures. He said that required staff would be provided to the district officers if there was a need.
Education and health directors appointed: Following the restoration of commissionerate system in Sindh, ex- Mirpurkhas Health EDO Dr Shafaqat Hussain Dahri and ex- Mirpurkhas Education EDO Jalil Ahmad Lashari were appointed as directors of the Education and Health departments of Mirpurkhas Division, respectively. Dr Haneef Baloch was appointed as the Mirpurkhas Health District Officer with immediate effect.
