The Islamabad Capital Territory’s (ICT) administration has finalised arrangements for setting up two Sasta bazaars in the month of Ramazan. Assistant Commissioner Capt (r) Faridud Din told Pakistan Today on Thursday that the ICT administration has finalized the arrangements for two Sasta bazaars, one each in Sector G/7 and Pakistan Town.
He said that wholesale sugar dealers, flour mills associations and Jamiat-al Quraish have assured the administration that they would provide sugar, flour, meat, chicken, beef, mutton and eggs at less than wholesale and ex-mills prices for these Sasta bazaars. He said the administration would also ensure that there was enough supply of foodstuffs with the active support of all stakeholders so that no artificial price hike or shortage could take place during Ramazan.
Every year, ICT administration establishes Sasta Bazzars on various locations of the city. While a permanent weekly Sasta Bazaar has been set-up in Zone 5 in front of Pakistan Town. The bazaar will remain open during the holy month of Ramazan.
