Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Shahid Hafeez Kardar, on Wednesday resigned from his post.
According to the media reports, differences over monetary policy, government loans and currency printing forced Kardar to resign.
A couple of days ago Shahid Hafeez Kardar submitted his resignation over his reservations on policy matters. According to the state Bank officials he has not been in contact for couple of days.
Before him Dalim Raza also submitted his resignation from the same post. Sources claim government was negotiating with Kardar to withdraw his resignation.
