Punjab Highway Patrol seizes fertilizers worth Rs 88 million

The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) seized fertilizers worth Rs 88 million, a trolley, car, motorcycle and three pistols in various cases across the province and helped 621 travelers in different districts.
According to details, Patrolling Post Malsi Link Bahawalpur received wireless information about firing near Mouza Gaddan. The PHP team rushed towards the spot and found the dead body of Muhammad Ali and two injured Abdul Raheem and Ghulam Shabir. The PHP team shifted the injured to hospital. Afterwards, it was revealed that six armed accused stopped a trolley bearing registration number LSC-3619 loaded with 1,400 bags of fertilizers. The two accused fled along with the trolley while four accused tied the driver and after helping the staff of the trolley took them to nearby sugarcane fields.
On resistance, the accused fired at the driver and helping staff of the trolley killing one people and injured two people while they managed to flee. Afterwards, the PHP team received information that the trolley was present near Israni Station, Chylay and some people were unloading the fertilizer bags. The PHP team reached the spot on which the accused fled. The PHP team recovered the said trolley along-with 1,400 bags of fertilizer and a car bearing registration number AGC-445. PHP Hamzaywali, Muzaffargarh recovered a Honda 125 motorcycle along with a 30 bore pistol from accused including Arshad and Aslam. PHP Nawankot, Mandi Bahauddin seized two pistols from accused Shahid Imran along with 25 bullets.
