PPP MPAs endorse Sindh govt’s moves

A meeting of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) parliamentarians endorsed all the steps recently taken by the Sindh government against terrorists and criminals, terming them as the ‘will of the people of the province.’ It was also announced that the steps taken by the provincial government will be supported at all levels
The meeting was held in the Sindh Chief Minister’s House on Tuesday, presided over by PPP’s Parliamentary Leader Pir Mazaharul Haq and attended by Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, provincial ministers and 76 Sindh Assembly MPAs belonging to the PPP. The parliamentary party supported the decisions taken by the party leadership and expressed full confidence on President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Sindh Chief Minister.
The meeting was held a day before the Sindh Assembly session is scheduled. A notification issued by the Chief Minister’s House stated that the parliamentarians supported all the moves of the government during its three-year tenure while it was decided that the restored commissionerate system under Sindh Local Government Ordinance 1979 and Police Act 1861 through the three ordinances will be fully supported.
It was stated that these steps were desired by the people of Sindh and reflected the will of the people. The steps taken for restoration of peace in Karachi were also supported.
