ITP’s FM Radio 92.4 celebrating its two years today

The FM Radio 92.4 of the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) that was established with the purpose of educating road users about traffic rules and make Islamabad a traffic disciplined city would mark its 2nd anniversary today (on July 13) with renewed spirit to ensure safe road environment in the city.
Supporting the efforts of ITP cops, the FM Radio 92.4 is making a significant contribution for a disciplined traffic system in the city with motivation to the road users to follow traffic rules and make traveling on the roads more secure. SP Mir Vais Niaz is looking after the affairs of this set up as Station Director while Ayesaha Jameel, as programme manager, has been making efforts to make the transmission more popular and attain the defined targets, said a press statement issued here on Tuesday.
The FM channel daily airs several informative as well as entertainment programmes from 6:30 am to 12 pm. According to Programme Manager Jameel, around 150-200 callers from various age groups make phone calls to them. The statement quoted her saying that the listeners seek information about traffic situation on various roads during peek hours and get entrained simultaneously.‘How to drive?’ is one of the programmes that are listeners’ favourite, she added.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) (Traffic) Dr Moeen Masood in his message has said that the FM Radio 92.4 is making a significant contribution to ensure smooth flow traffic in the city. He said it is raising awareness among people about the importance of traffic rules.
