India has re-drafted its list of most wanted terrorists that it believes are in Pakistan, allegedly, the Indian media reported on Wednesday. The new list has 48 names.
According to NDTV, India had prepared a list of 50 most wanted terrorists in March and handed it over to Islamabad, but it was later found that two of three suspected terrorists mentioned on the list were in India, one on bail and the other still in jail. Red-faced, Indian agencies then withdrew the list and have now compiled a new one. The Ministry of External Affairs would hand it over to Islamabad soon.
The list includes the names of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, Laskhar-e-Tayyaba (LeT) chief Hafiz Saeed and other masterminds of the November 2008 Mumbai attack and other terror strikes in India, the report said. The updated list has been compiled after every detail was “meticulously checked” from various law enforcement and intelligence agencies, an Indian Home Ministry official said.
