CIA Cantonment Police arrested four drug peddlers from Ring Road and recovered 85 kilograms of charras from their possession in Burki Police precincts on Monday.
The arrested accused were identified as Haroon Rasheed, Azam Khan, Shakeel Ahmed and Tariq Mahmood. DSP CIA Cantonment Khalid Abu Bakar told Pakistan Today that CIA Cantt officials flagged a suspected vehicle on a tip off after selecting a Barki Road picket on a tip off and recovered the aforesaid culprits.
The accused used a specially prepared vehicle to transporting drugs and had made secret racks inside the now impounded vehicle. He said two of the drug peddlers were from Peshawar while two others were from Jhelum. The CCPO Lahore has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for DSP Khalid Abu Bakar, Inspector Muhammad Siddique, Sub Inspector Muhammad Akram, ASI Shahid Mehmood and others.
