Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino will be banned from the dugout for Wednesday’s meeting with Copa America surprise package Venezuela after arguing with the referee in his side’s draw with Brazil, organisers said Sunday.
Martino was furious after the Brazilians levelled right at the death on Saturday to leave the Paraguayans hanging on to hopes of a place in the quarters.
The disciplinary commission of the CONMEBOL South American confederation revealed the ban after reviewing the case after Colombian referee Wilmar Roldan sent him from the bench.
