15 burnt alive as bus catches fire in Islamabad

At least 15 persons were burnt alive while several others were injured as a passenger bus caught fire after a CNG cylinder blast here on Tuesday, police said.
The incident occurred near Korang Town on Islamabad Express Highway when a passenger bus, heading from Faizabad to Kallar Syedan, caught fire after the cylinder blast.
As a result, 15 persons were burnt alive while several others were injured in the incident.
According to the police, five cylinders were fitted in the bus and one of them went off causing the explosion.
After the incident, police officials, rescue teams and other concerned authorities reached on the spot and started the rescue operation.
According to the hospital administration, at least 10 bodies were shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) but eye witnesses said that at least 15 persons lost their lives in the incident.
Police has started the investigation of the incident.

  1. CNG power for vehicles is past it's sell by date. Modern diesels are as clean, safer, faster and more economical. Get these dangerous machines off the road!
