The people of Sindh have widely welcomed the revival of commissionarate system in Sindh. So much so, Sindhi nationalists have also congratulated PPP on its recent decision being favourable to the people of Sindh.
It was height of injustice that during the tenure of ex-army dictator General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, the city of Karachi was made one district by merging five districts whereas Hyderabad, a comparatively smaller city, was divided into four districts on ethnic basis. But now the old districts have been revived.
I suggest that all ethnic groups should accept this decision with open heart as it has the full support of the people of Pakistan in general and Sindh in particular. This will also help in solving the persistent problem of violence and terrorism in the city.
