The recent suspension of US military aid to Pakistan is evidence of the mistrust in relationship between the two countries, Moderates Chairman Syed Jawaid Iqbal said on Monday. Condemning the US decision, he said it is unfortunate given Pakistan’s support to the US in the war against terror.
“It is only because of the courage and competence shown by Pakistan’s armed forces that the Swat Valley is free from Taliban. Pakistani soldiers have put their lives at risk to end terrorism,” he added. Jawaid said suspension of aid will further complicate relationship between the two countries and will divert Pakistan’s attention from fighting extremism.
