Pleasant weather prevails in city

Pleasant weather prevailed in the provincial metropolis on Sunday, as citizens thronged recreational places to make the most out of the holiday. Thousands of people were seen at the Lahore Zoo and parks to enjoy the cloudy weather. Recent rains kept the mercury on the lower side on Sunday. Relative humidity was recorded in Lahore on Sunday morning at 75 percent while it dropped to 55 percent in the evening. The maximum temperature in the city was 36 degrees Celsius, whereas, the minimum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius.
Citizens claimed that the decreasing humidity and mercury is proving to be a blessing for them and if it is on a holiday, then it is not less than icing on a cake. The Met Office informed that scattered thunderstorms with rain are expected to hit Multan, Bahawalpur and DG Khan while isolated thunderstorms with rain are expected to hit Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday. The Met Office informed that isolated rain and thundershowers occurred in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and AJK on Sunday while dry weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.
Hot and humid weather is expected in Lahore with isolated thunderstorms on Monday while the maximum temperature would remain between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius. Around 33 millimeters of rain hit Risalpur, Abbotabad 18, Saidusharif 17, Islamabad 15, Kotli 15 and 10 milimetres of rain occurred in Rawalpindi, Pehsawar and Murree.
