PML (Like Minded) has sought answers of ten questions on Sunday from PML (N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif on his party’s alliance with MQM.
Provincial Secretary Information Mian Muhammad Asif asked PML(N)’s leader Mian Nawaz Sharif if whatever he said against MQM in the last three years was that wrong and if not then why he was shaking hands with “country’s enemies”.
Was it not decided in the parties’ conference held in London that no party would join MQM, he asked.
He asked ‘Did you (Mian Nawaz Sharif) find answers to 50 people murdered and advocates alighted at 12th May in Karachi? Would there be no target killing in Karachi? Won’t you ask for forgiveness from the nation on embracing the “country’s enemies” and Does your party have any principle? Are you going to set up committee for Judicial Inquiry of the incidents of the 12th May after acquiring the supreme position in government? Is it not enmity with the nation to shake hand with those who destroyed peace of Karachi? Not only we but the whole nation wants answers to the above questions.
He added PML(N) could alter their rules just for their personal gains.
It is not within the power of PML(N) to decide who sits in the Opposition. If the MQM has really decided to sit on opposition benches, we must remeber, whether we like them or not, they have a constituency which gives them more than 24 seats in NA alone. In the given circumstances, if the PML(N) inspite of its reservations decides to forge an understanding for better opposition, there is nothing wrong. If this alliance was to form a coalition government, than it becomes a completely different ball game, where these questions raised by like minded group would have been proper. Will the Like Minded Group ask the PPP or PML(Q) the same questions when they decide to have an alliance to form part of a government.
Recent grand alliance between PMLN and MQM has hit the emotions of Pakistani nation as nobody has forgotten their disgrace by MQM. It seems that Mr. Nawaz Sharif has a short term memory because just few months ago MQM abused PMLN and the people of Punjab. MQM leaders showed their traditional behavior and abused the housewives of Punjabi families as Prostitutes. How can Mr. Nawaz forget that disgrace? Has Mr. Nawaz Sharif conceded that MQM’s behavior was right? Is it right to make grand alliance with MQM whether MQM leaders will be abusing Punjab? How pity it is that Mr. Nawaz Sharif has been blind to bag power. He is intoxicated with power as he thinks that he will govern the country and MQM will surely be with him. Where is he sleeping negligently today when the whole Karachi is burning? Why not he raises his voice against this terrorism? Does he think that MQM will accompany him always? No. He should observe MQM’s past as it has always left the government after bagging its evil intentions and surely it will do the same with PMLN. Why Mr. Nawaz forgot that MQM is a Musharraf Qatil Movement and Pervez Musharraf exiled him in the past.
