Army should work under government’s directives: Nawaz

Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said that if rulers give any task to military to reduce tension in Karachi, army should accept it and work under the government’s instructions.
He said this while talking to media during his visit to the residence of renowned poet Khawaja Pervez (late), where he offered Fatiha for his eternal peace and passed on condolence to his family members on the death of the legend here on Saturday.
He said the situation in Karachi was extremely alarming, where the things had become unmanageable for the government that had already been failed to overcome the menaces of load shedding, terrorism, corruption, unemployment and price-hike.
He added that PML-N wanted to convene session of the parliament to discuss Karachi situation and the matter regarding the investigation of NICL scam.
He said that although taking decision to start operation in Karachi was the government’s prerogative but police and rangers had completely failed to defeat the terrorists.
