Waqar delays his arrival in Lahore

Pakistan’s cricket team coach Waqar Younis has delayed his arrival in Lahore where he was to join the fast track camp organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board. It was learnt that he would be late by at least a week as his wife is not well.
The PCB officials confirmed that Waqar, who was due to reach Lahore on night between Thursday and Friday, had informed the board that he would now be available only by July 18. “He has to take care of some domestic issues as his wife is ill. So he has asked the board to extend his leave by ten more days,” an official said. By the time the former Test captain reaches Lahore the fast track camp, which was set up for upcoming and established pace bowlers, would be in its final stages. The PCB is also holding a fast track camp for batsman followed by camp for all-rounders and spinners.
The board official said that Waqar will be in Pakistan until the team leaves for Zimbabwe in August and will be back to prepare for the series against Sri Lanka in the UAE later this year.
