Target killings in Karachi

Above sixty deaths in the last three days is a horrid statistics, which is depicting the picture of Karachi as a battleground, not a city.

The police and law enforcement agencies seem to be helpless in effectively controlling this onslaught of violence. Karachi has always been infamous for its security situation, but now this city has turned into a slaughterhouse. If the performance of the police had been improved at the right time and reforms had been implemented, perhaps the situation today would have been much different. It is unfortunate that due to the neglect of incumbent administrations and the poor performance of police, the economic hub of our country is burning.
