Sunni Tehreek protests against Karachi targeted killings

The Sunni Tehreek on Friday organised a protest against target killings in Karachi in front of the Lahore Press Club. Protesters chanted anti-government slogans and alleged that the federal government’s former coalition partners are involved in target killings and demanded an operation in Karachi.
Party leader Mujahid Abdul Rasool said that the country’s enemies were in the federal government who wanted to make the port city a hub of banned outfits. He alleged that Sunni Tehreek activists are being killed in Karachi and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) just wants to secure its rule. He condemned violent attacks on public transport vehicles and demanded that Karachi be given under army control.
