Services Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Javed on Friday directed the hospital administration and employees to remain alert during the monsoon season.
He was presiding over a meeting to review arrangements for the rainy season at his office. He said a ban had been imposed on leaves of Works Department officials and sanitary workers whereas dewatering pumps had been installed and necessary staff deputed for drainage of rainwater from the hospital.
He also directed the Works Department officials to submit a daily report to the hospital administration regarding working conditions of dewatering pumps and generators.
Javed advised the AMS and DMS to remain alert and available on their mobile phones for immediate communication in emergency. He also directed that the duty doctors to be available on control room’s phone number round-the-clock. It was decided that in case of rain, transport facility would be provided to doctors and nurses living in the hospital hostel for reaching their place of duty.
Javed said necessary medicines have been provided in all departments of the hospital including the outdoor patient department and emergency for treatment of patients suffering from seasonal diseases.
