The Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) on Friday approved setting up of three new police stations in different areas of the provincial capital on Friday. The new police stations will be established in Manga Mandi, Sattukatla and Hanjerwal areas that fall within the Saddar Division area of the Lahore Police.
The Lahore capital city police officer (CCPO) Lahore had sought the Punjab IGP’s nod to set up five more police stations in Manga Mandi, Sattukatla, Hanjerwal, Walton Road and Township areas due to increasing crime rate there.
