The Punjab government on Friday formed a committee under Senator Ishaq Dar to finalise whether outstanding issues regarding devolved ministries would be taken up in the Council of Common Interests (CCI), Pakistan Today has learnt.
The committee, headed by Dar and including Chief Minister (CM)’s Advisor Sardar Zulfiquar Khosa, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Chief Secretary Nasir Khosa, will meet today (Saturday).
A senior government official, seeking anonymity, said the government had already decided on the issues to be taken up in the CCI and the said committee would meet up only to finalise it and whet the language of the draft to avoid complexities. However, the matter would be taken up in the CCI only after the CM is back from London, the official added.
