Pakistan, India football conflict begins next month

Pakistan and India will play a series of three friendly soccer match in UK in August and September as the Indian football authorities have got the government permission while the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is waiting clearance from Islamabad.
Talking to Pakistan Today PFF Director Marketing Sardar Naveed Haider Khan said that Pakistan would play their opening match against India on August 28 at Bury, Manchester followed by on September 3 at the Coventry Soccer Club ground and the final match will be played at West Ham on September 9.
He further informed that the organisers had also invited scouts of different English clubs who would watch the Pakistan players in action.
The series against India was finalised after the tour to Palestine was postponed indefinitely due to visa issues. Pakistan played two matches against Palestine at Lahore and Karachi but their return tour to Palestine was postponed. Pakistan were supposed to play the return leg of the bilateral series in Palestine after Palestine had played in Pakistan earlier in the year.
Naveed said TouchSky Sports was helping the PFF for this series which would give the players some much needed international exposure. He said that the team would leave for UK on August 26 and hold a press conference the following day at Wembley.
The team is also scheduled to play two practice matches with the national teams of Dubai and Qatar after which they plan to go to the United Kingdom.
