Civic life is beginning to return to normal on Saturday morning in the metropolis which witnessed the worst volatile situation with over 100 killings during the last four days as the Rangers have taken control of the most sensitive flash point of Kati Pahari.
According to the media reports, over two dozen suspected people have been arrested from various areas.
Carrying out an operation, heavy contingents of Rangers personnel took control of Kati Pahari and arrested over two dozen people. As a result, the spate of firing around Kati Pahari has ceased.
Law and order in the city is in a better standing on Saturday with public transport plying on all vital thoroughfares around the metropolis, however the traffic is thin. Moreover, most petrol pumps have also re-opened around the city.
