JS Blues win JS Bank Twenty20 Cup

JS Blues won the JS Bank T-20 Cup after beating JS Greens by 10 runs in a spectacular final played under lights at Karachi the other day. Khursheed Jabeen was declared the women of the match. She scored 24 runs and also grabbed two wickets while Aiman Anwer contributed 29 runs in the win.
JS Bank President and CEO Kalim Ur Rahman, and JS Investments Chairman Munawar Alam Siddiqui distributed the cash awards to the winning team in the closing ceremony. JS Blue got Rs 50,000 with a beautiful trophy and the runners-up JS Greens got Rs 25,000 and all the participating teams were given medals.
Textile Advisor to Prime Minister Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig was the chief guest on the occasion. JS Bank also recognised female sporting stars from different sports and awarded certificates and cash prizes of Rs 5000 each to tennis player Sara Ahmed, Sara Khan (badminton), Almas Ibrahim (athletics), Qurat-ul-Ain Zaidi (table tennis) and Rida Mitha (swimming). JS Bank hosted the first ever a Day Night Women’s T-20 Tournament in Pakistan to promote women’s cricket and also pave way for talent hunt of new emerging players.
