Major reshuffling in the police


In a late night development on Wednesday, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations of Lahore Police ordered major reshuffling at Station House Officer’s (SHO) level and posted 29 inspectors as SHOs.
As per details a couple of days back the Inspector General of Police Punjab Javed Iqbal, directed all District Police Officers (DPOs), Regional Police Officer (RPOs) and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) to depute inspectors, and not sub-inspectors, as SHOs.
The IGP Punjab also directed aforesaid top cops to depute only those inspectors as SHOs who had not received three major punishments and had not been called in three different inquiries filed against them. The IGP directed top cops to complete the transition till July 7. Since the orders of IGP, DIG Operation Ghulam Mehmood Dogar along with all divisional SPs conducted interviews of several inspectors.
