Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), Afghan Club Chaman and National Bank of Pakistan opened their Premier League campaign with a win on the opening day. In a match between Baloch FC and KRL at Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium (Mali Bagh) Quetta, KRL won the match 2-1. Muhammad Naeem opened the score from Baloch FC in the 18th minute and later KRL started to dominate the proceedings.
It was Kaleem Ullah who brought the equaliser in the 22nd minute and later in the 43rd minute Mehmood Khan scored the winning goal from KRL side. In the second match of the league, Afghan FC (Chaman) faced WAPDA at Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium (Mali Bagh) Quetta. The five time champion WAPDA had a shaky start to their title desire as Afghan Club achieved a win with a solitary goal came through the efforts of Abdul Hadi in 39th minute.
In the third match, NBP earned a comprehensive win of three goals against Pakistan Air force at KPT Football Stadium Karachi. Farooq Shah with two back to back goals in the 13th and 45th minute of the game and later Attique in 71st minute score earned an easy win for NBP.
