Dear bureaucrats, it’s high time you got promoted

Amid non-stop violence and targeted killings in Karachi, a total of 107 bureaucrats of grades 19 and 20 received promotions by Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday.
The Provincial Selection Board No-I, headed by the CM, approved the promotions of 107 bureaucrats to the next grades.
After reviewing the promotion cases of Services General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD), and the Education, Agriculture, Irrigation, Works and Services, Health, and Public Health Engineering departments, the selection board approved the promotions of 103 officers from Basic Pay Scale (BPS)-19 to BPS 20, and four officers from BPS-20 to BPS-21.
According to details, Malik Ghauri, Asadullah Dharejo and Raees Paracha of the SGA&CD have been promoted from BPS-20 to BPS-21, and Allah Ditto Shar was promoted to BPS-20 before his retirement.
The officers promoted from BPS-19 to BPS-20 included 84 doctors of the Health Department, 14 officers of the Education Department, three engineers of the Irrigation Department (Muhammad Aslam Ansari, Syed Zaheer Shah and Babar Effendi), an engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department, and an officer of the Agriculture Department.
The meeting was attended among others by Sindh Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas, Planning and Development Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Ishaque Lashari, SGA&CD Services Secretary Rizwan Ahmed Memon, Sindh Finance Secretary Naveed Kamran Baloch, and Acting Secretary to Sindh CM Hafeezullah Abbasi.
