Shujaat confident to ‘grind’ any grand alliance

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Ch Shujaat Hussain rubbished the possibility of any threat posed by the ‘grand alliance’ on Wednesday and said it would make little difference to his party or the government.
While talking to journalists, Shujaat who was accompanied by PML-Q leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi said they were hearing the reports of grand alliance as well as the claims of the PML-N about giving tough time to the government for last three years but no such thing had ever occurred.
Pervaiz said PML-Q was still in contact with MQM and its joining opposition was not a bad thing. He advised all the political parties to prepare for the next elections.
Shujaat in his usual lighter vein said the country was caught in the grip of heat and long march was not possible in this hot weather. ‘The grand alliance would be grounded soon,” he said.
Pervaiz Elahi said MQM and PML-Q had twelve-year old good working relation while PML-N had no vote bank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan therefore alliance of the two was natural.
