A 50-year-old woman was killed by her daughter-in-law over a domestic feud issue in Manawan police precincts on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Sardaran Bibi.
Police said Sardaran Bibi used to live with her younger son Bashir in Sohwari Mughalpura for the last few years. On Monday, she went to see her elder son Maulvi Nazir in Manawan. There she was not welcomed by her daughter-in-law Musarat as she not only exchanged hot words with her but also manhandled her.
The old woman complained to her son about the conduct of his wife, who too beat up her. During the row, infuriated Musarat attacked Sardaran Bibi with a sharp-edged weapon, inflicting serious injuries to her.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she later died.
