The judicial magistrate (cantt) on Tuesday extended the physical remand of seven people namely Dr Hanif, Nadeem, Imran, Mushtaq, Sagheer, Mubashir and Ali, involved in an illegal business of organ transplant till July 8.
Earlier, the North Cantt Police produced the accused before the magistrate after completion of their three-day physical remand, requesting the court to extend the physical remand till the officials complete investigations on their network in Pakistan and abroad. The court, while extending the remand, directed the North Cantt Police to complete the investigation by the next hearing.
The accused were arrested red-handed on July 1 from a rented house near Soling Road in Ameeruddin Park where they ran an illegal organ transplant business. The nexy hearing is on July 8.
