Pakistan Today on 30 June, 2011 carried a report from its monitoring desk, saying that the US is not ready to wait for Pakistan. The Christian Science Monitor says, “If you (Pakistan) won’t take on the Taliban and other extremists, we will.” Needless to say this has always been a cornerstone of US and Obama’s policy.
The US has already alienated the people of Pakistan by its refusal to suspend the drone attacks. It insists that drone attacks will continue unless Pakistan undertakes operations in North Waziristan as US’s national security is threatened.
This is not true. Majority of US personnel deaths occurred in Helmand and Kandhar. In view of the energy crisis, US is suspected of denying Pakistan acquiring hydel power and wants Pakistan to get energy needs from neighboring countries to the North Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
The United States of America is a “Rogue Nation”. They have ensured their support to IRA against North Ireland and UK. To this day they provide financial support to Ireland.
Wherever they put their foot in, they cause chaos. It is about time Pakistan dispenses with all assistance from America. Let us tighten our belts and rely on our time tested friends.
