Deedar Shah not to be named NAB chairman again: Chandio

Law Minister Maula Bakhsh Chandio has said Justice (r) Deedar Hussain Shah was not being appointed the NAB chairman again and a new chairman would be named within two to three days. He was talking to a group of reporters at the Parliament House on Tuesday.
The minister said he could not disclose the name of the new appointee. However, a summary in this respect had been sent to the authorities concerned, he added. Regarding induction of Justice Sardar Raza Khan as new chairman NAB, he expressed his ignorance, saying the media should stay patient for a couple of days and the actual person would come into the open.
Chandio said the consultation process with the opposition over the appointment was under way, but the opposition was “standing on the other side of the river”.
