Both the progress and prosperity of a country depend on the education system. It is equally important for both girls and boys. Girls are said to be the light of a home; if they are educated they will carry that light wherever they go. The percentage of education in Pakistan is hardly 26 percent. The female percentage is about six percent. It is evident from the number of boys and girls educational institutions in the country. The majority of population of about 70 percent is living in villages and is completely neglected.

If we want to have a harmonious growth, female education is to be given due importance in the national planning. More girl schools and colleges are should be opened all over the country. Primary education must be made free and compulsory both for boys and girls. Special attention is to be paid to teachers’ training. If the women are educated, they can prove to be better mothers and wives. They can educate the children and have greater influence on them.
