Lahore clinch Punjab Judo C’ship

Lahore won the Punjab Judo Championships by 33 points that concluded here at the Judo Training centre on Monday. Sheikhupura grabbed second position by scoring 15 points and was followed by Okara which came third by eight points. After the conclusion of the event, Punjab Judo Association (PJA) Secretary Shahid Javed Malik spelled out the detailed program of the association for the training and coaching of the players in the Punjab. The championship which was organised by PJA was participated by 10 teams from various divisions of the Punjab. Bouts were held in the seven body weight categories which included 50kg, 55kg, 60kg, 66kg, 73kg, 81kg and open weight group. The fights were held on a knock-out basis. Fahim Butt, renowned surgeon of the country was the chief guest and distributed the medals and prizes among the winners.
