Politics in university

University is a place where we get education and learn how to survive and move in the society. It is a place from where our professional life starts. But when I got admission in the university, I was shocked to see the political parties in the university. There are a number of political parties in the universities. The students get in these parties at the beginning of the year and some of students say that they are in the parties because parties work for the welfare of students, that they solve the student’s problems.

In fact, they are just the opposite. Once, we were taking a class when suddenly there were raised voices and then we heard firing. We all got frightened and asked our teacher as to what was going on. He told us that this was a routine matter and that we need not be frightened. These were the very political parties clashing each other who had promised to help students solve their problems.

Many were injured with two casualties. It was panic in the university and we all just ran away to reach our homes safely. The university was closed for two days. That day I realised that these parties should be banned on campuses. They are just a waste of time, property and life.

I want to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to take steps regarding these problems so that we can get education in a peaceful environment.
