One soldier killed in attack on Bajaur check post

A security official was killed when militants attacked a check post in the northwestern Bajaur tribal region on Monday.
According to a private TV, the attackers suddenly attack the check post in the area.
As a result, one security official was killed. The security forces also killed several militants as they reacted immediately after the attack. Many attackers have managed to escaped from the scene.
Bajaur is one of seven districts in Pakistan’s semi-autonomous tribal belt on the Afghan border. The United States considers the area the global headquarters of Al Qaeda and the most dangerous place on earth.
More than 4,400 people have been killed across Pakistan in attacks blamed on Taliban and other extremist networks based in the tribal belt since 2007.
