We are the residents of Chungi Stop, Muhammad Deen Road (off GT Road), Islam Park, Daroghawala. This town has more than 500 households but it is still has no supply of clean or water or a functional sewerage system. Because of the lack of a sewerage system, the water accumulates in empty plots in the form of filthy little ponds. The town also has mounds of trash strewn around and the pools of stagnant water and their stench is becoming the cause of many diseases.
The residents of this town have repeatedly approached the TMO of Wahga town and complained about the trash and lack of sanitation. But no heed has been paid to our requests. We have also approached the constituency’s MPA, Rana Tajjamul from PML(N), and other requisite higher authorities but to no avail. We went to the MP in the form of a delegation and asked him to solve our problems as we were registered voters of his area but he prevaricated by saying that no funds were available.
I would like to ask the respected CM, that even after the passage of two years, has the honourbale MP not gotten his funds? How can it be that a PML(N) MP is having difficulty obtaining funds during a PML(N) government? It is highly unfortunate that we, the residents of Lahore, are deprived of basic necessities during your tenure, CM sahib. Please do not disappoint us as we implore you to solve our problems (no clean water to drink, no sewerage system and heaps of trash everywhere) urgently.
