CNG stations closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) has convened a meeting today (Monday) to decide the future course of action, as the government goes ahead with its decision to suspend CNG supply for three days a week in Punjab and two in Sindh. All the zonal, regional and divisional office bearers of the body will gather in Islamabad, as the CNG dealers plan countrywide protest.
The representatives of transporters, including taxi and rickshaw drivers, are also among the expected participants of the meeting. On the other hand, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) said the move would affect the Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujranwala regions. Meanwhile, long queues of vehicles were witnessed at CNG stations in Lahore on Sunday evening as the CNG would not be available from today (Monday) till Wednesday.
Angry citizens criticised the government for making life miserable for them by first making them suffer from long hours of unscheduled load shedding and no adding another day to the two days of gas holiday in Punjab. “The government has not only failed to develop a proper transport system but at the same time turned our lives into hell by closing down the CNG stations for three days,” said a citizen, Jaleel Haider.
