Shujaat asks Raiwind to stop meddling in Kashmir politics

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said elections in Azad Kashmir should be held independent of external elements.
In a meeting with AJK Prime Minister Sardar Ateeq Ahmad Khan, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi discussed the post-election scenario in Azad Kashmir.
Shujaat said the Kashmiri people had the right to express their opinion and no one could be allowed to snatch their right to elect representatives of their own choice.
Pervaiz Elahi said the Kashmir was and would always be the jugular vein of the nation and it was important for all the political parties to show unity and solidarity on this most important national issue.
He added that interference in the Azad Kashmir elections was not being liked by the world and this could cause damage to the Kashmir cause.
Sardar Ateeq thanked Chaudhrys for adhering to the Quaid-e-Azam’s policy of non-interference in Kashmir politics.
He also asked other parties to follow this policy and respect the mandate of the people of Azad Kashmir.
