The final report by the tribunal formed to probe Kharotabad killings, replete with video footages and documentation, has ruled that the five Chechens killed by security forces were indeed terrorists. The investigative tribunal chaired by Balochistan High Court Justice Hashim Kakar and formed on special directives by Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raessani, had started its proceedings on May 31 and recorded the statements of 28 witnesses.
During the course of investigations, police and FC personnel failed to satisfy the tribunal. The police and FC personnel appeared before the tribunal and briefed it with the help of Russian documentation, video footages, and other related reports on the origins, training procedures, routes and other important information about the killed Chechens. During the briefing, it was said that the raising of hands by the Chechens was an offer for surrender, rather a victory sign usually displayed by jihadi elements.

  1. our media should avoid to portray the wishes and opinion as news. on basis of what proofs the media men were blaming the security forces and LAEs and were presenting the chechens as innocent people. who is responsible for damaging the image of pakistani forces on national and international levels? we are in state of war and should act wisely. why we are creating hatred and doubts among the nation.
