The Pakistan Football Federation has joined hands with Bank of Punjab in the holding of the Pakistan and Bangladesh home leg of the World Cup Qualifier to be held at Lahore’s Punjab Stadium on July 3.
Addressing a press conference here at the Football House, PFF Marketing Director Sardar Naveed Haider informed that Bank of Punjab (BoP) had extended the helping hand to organise the Pakistan and Bangladesh match. He also informed that all the expenses of the match would be bear by BoP.
Bank of Punjab Head Corporate Communication Ahmed Raza Ghazali said that being one of the main banks of the province it is their moral duty to pay back to society and soccer being one of the most popular game was given the due right. Later he handed over the cheque of sponsorship to director marketing of PFF.
It has been learnt that the Punjab government has handed over two grounds to BoP in Model Town Extension for its development and maintenance. One of the ground is used for cricket and the other will be utilised to train and develop the footballers.
Talking on the occasion Ahmed Razi said that they would be collaborating with the PFF for the training and development at the football grounds. Sardar Naveed informed that the PFF would give the BoP, groundsmen, coaches and all other help in the development of the ground into a proper football pitch. He also praised the gesture of the BoP towards football and urged the corporate sector to play a positive role and come forward for the help of the youth of the country in the sports.
